If you like outdoor activities, then there is always something fun to do outdoors in Coronado. Coronado has a large boating community, ready to charter or enjoy a day of sailing. Go swimming in the ocean or visit the Community Pool. If you skateboard, Coronado offers a skate park near the bay. Coronado has several boardwalks that stretch both the beach and bay, perfect for an afternoon jog or a calming bike ride. Attractions in Coronado
Coronado has several attractions including riding the ferry to San Diego, exploring the Hotel Del Coronado. Enjoy a game of soccer or baseball at one of the many parks located around the island. Beaches and Bays in Coronado
Ranked as one of the top 10 beaches in the country, Coronado offers amazing weather and long sandy beaches. The entire west side of Coronado is essentially one long beach, measuring over a mile long. There are also several Bays to launch boats or get away from the crowds of the beach...

Bicycle Riding
Coronado is a great place to take a bike ride. 15 miles of dedicated bike paths wind throughout Coronado. Bike, skate, jog or walk. If you're coming over from San Diego, bikes are allowed on the Coronado Ferry. The Strand has a 10 mile bike bath that connects Coronado and Imperial Beach.

Golfing in Coronado
Opened in 1957, Coronado Municipal Golf Course continues to reign as one of the finest public golf courses in Southern California. The course is a 72-par, 130-acre course with a driving range. Ron's Pro Shop features rentals, instruction and tournament awards. Clubhouse Bar and Grill offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Sailing, Boating and Jet skis
Coronado is a big boating community with a Yacht Club located at the south end of the island. There are slips and boat and jet ski rentals available. You can take sailing lessons and even charter a boat. Yacht charters are available as are Whale watching, wine tasting and harbor tours.

Skateboarding in Coronado
Located to the right of the bridge in Tidelands Park is a skate park. The Coronado Skate Park encompasses 18,000 square feet of concrete ramps, bowls, grinds and jumps. The park caters to all skateboarding skill levels. Daily, weekly, monthly and annual passes are available.

Shopping in Coronado
Shopping in Coronado is a unique experience. Almost without exception Coronado has been able to keep out large corporations from destroying the mom and pop stores that are located all along Orange Avenue. Orange Ave. is the street that runs the length of the island and is the Island's main shopping area...

Swimming
Swimming can be done at any of the beaches and bays in Coronado. There is also a Community Pool, featuring a large lap pool and diving area. Coronado Municipal Pool is located at 1845 Strand Way, (619) 522-2464. Family swim hours are: Mon-Fri 10am to 2pm, Tues-Thurs 6pm to 8pm, and Sat-Sun 1pm to 4pm. Fees vary.

Surfing
Coronado is not known as a world class surfing destination, however there are several fun breaks located along the beaches. In the summertime Outlet located on the North end of the beach is your best option and Pit located by the Hotel Del during the winter. Venture over the bridge for San Diego's best surfing spots.

Tennis
There are over 19 tennis courts located throughout Coronado. Most of the courts are opened to the public and 3 hotels on the island also offer private courts to hotel guests only. Hotel tennis courts can be found at Hotel Del Coronado, Loews Coronado Bay Resort and Coronado Island Marriott Resort. The courses are lighted for night play.
